dc.description.abstract Nowadays the metal stamping industry is growing very rapidly, because it can help any manufacture companies producing thousands of parts in a day. Stamping requires a tool called dies, and it takes several dies in process to make one part. Blank is one of them, the process is cutting parts according to the form and dimension needed. This thesis discusses the design of dies blank for bracket horn parts. Dies blank was planned to be placed in a 60 ton capacity press line. The design drawing made by software AutoCAD 2D, the same software help author to found the perimeter of bracket horn out. The calculation of blank force, stripper force, clearance, and dimensions of die and punch should be finished first before design drawn. The calculation results obtained that the dies blank design require a cutting force of 142000 N, a stripper force of 5719 N, a clearence between the die and punch of 0.05, and dimension of dies blank 230 x 200 x 300 mm. This dies also require 6 pieces of spring type SWM to be supplied by Misumi. The material for die and punch is SLD meanwhile other components will using SS41. The calculation results show the force required and dimension of blank dies is smaller than the specified press machine capacity, therefore dies is safe to use and the design ready to processed. en_US
