dc.description.abstract In the University grading system, lecturers have their own criteria, one of them is attendance. Students must attend the class in order to get a perfect grade or at least bonus score. But nobody knows what will happen, maybe students get sick or they have to attend something important. Some lecturers accept excuses, but some others don’t. Maybe some students choose to let it go, but some others choose to cheat by asking their classmates to sign their attendance. This attendance cheating is commonly called “tipsen”, where we ask others to sign our attendance but we do not attend the class. To solve this cheating problem, I proposed this thesis to make a fingerprint attendance device. en_US
