Food and beverage industry is growing from time to time following the constant demand of food as basic necessity. Recently, there is a new lifestyle that change people’s behavior to eat out instead of eat at home. This affects the growth of foodservice in Indonesia where independent restaurant such as cafe and bar give the most contribution to it. Looking at this, opening a business in culinary, particularly an independent one, will be profitable and has promising future. Palembang is one of the strategic places to open a cafe business due to the increase in culinary business and tourists visit, the high number of young people population as potential buyers as well as the habit of drinking coffee of its people. For this reason, the author presented the business plan of Gliko to analyse the operational plan, marketing plan, and to check the feasibility of the cafe. Gliko will be located at Srijaya Negara Street Palembang, near Sriwijaya University, which is accessible and easy to reach. As it is located near University, the primary target market will be active university students from all batch. Furthermore, Gliko will use local ingredients and green packaging to contribute to the development of the society and healthy environment which differentiate Gliko from other competitors around the area. The result of the economic analysis projected that with the starting capital of Rp 450,000,000, Gliko will get net profit margin beyond 40%, positive NPV of Rp 1,091,846,793, and the payback period will be reached in 2 years with 41,926 products sold. |
