IMPROVING EXTERNAL AUDIT RECORD SYSTEM USING RAPID APPLICATION DESIGN METHODOLOGY AT TOY MANUFACTURING COMPANY, CIKARANG

Abstract

External audits are one of important activity that should be done in the Toy Manufacturing Company, Cikarang. Currently, the manual and repeatable activities are required to do the tasks, start from recording the schedule record repeatably, no database to record audit result and manual process is needed to follow up the CAPA documents to the related parties. Thus, Compliance Assurance team has planned improvement discussion and as the result, the new system is required by making the application using Visual Studio Application for recording and updating process and a dashboard using Power BI to present the database for determine the business decisions. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) has been chosen to be the methodology to develop the new system. RAD methodology is the best method to develop new system since the user needs fast development with no cost is charged. The step of RAD method consists of analysis of problem solution where it also explains the user feedbacks from each iteration, after that the application and dashboard will be designed and be prototyped. After some iterations, the system meets user requirement and it is implemented to the working environment and needs to be maintained.
