| dc.description.abstract | Workers health and safety is the important issue that should be considered in the manufacturing process. The ergonomic tool used by the operator is one of the supporting aspects to support the worker's health and safety. The problem that appears in packaging activity at Tempeh Home Industry Pak Haji is the operator feels low back pain three times a week after doing the packaging process. It is considered because the packaging process is still done by the traditional process with bending down the body of the operator. By interviewing the operator using Nordic Body Map questionnaire, the researcher obtains the operator’s body complaint. After analysis using Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method based on the data from the interview, the initial REBA score indicated in eight, which means high risk and need to improve. The proposed improvement is conducted using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method and implements Anthropometry to design the supporting tool. The supporting tool named Future Packaging Tool. Future Packaging Tool can reduce REBA score from eight, which indicated as high risk become two, which means low risk | en_US |
