Abstract:
The rapid progress in communication systems that have entered every aspect of human life is a momentum to build national values and strengthen national culture in social relations with the global community. Cultural Promotion by using social media is an efficient and effective way because besides to covering a global area social media also easy to use by everyone. This evolution has changed the relationship between the media, the state and society. The popularity of Korean culture in Indonesia cannot be separated from the role of social media such as YouTube. This research explains about the role of South Korean Indonesianist YouTubers to promote South Korean culture. The time period of this research is from 2013 to 2018. This research is classified into analytical and descriptive research that using qualitative as the research methodology by observing video that uploaded by top five South Korean Indonesianist YouTubers and looking which country their promote. The result of this research shows that South Korean Indonesianist YouTubers as social media influencers who discuss and promote South Korean culture which play a role in disseminating information, forming people's opinions and views about South Korean culture. In fact, they are often trending on YouTube Indonesia because the number of viewers that has been reached. In other words, South Korean Indonesianist YouTubers are very important in promoting to Indonesian society on the topic of South Korean culture.
