Abstract:
In a company human resources have a very important role for the continuity of its activities. One of the factors that can maximize employee performance is with a good leadership style and applying discipline to the company’s organization .This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and discipline on employee performance through motivation as an intervening variable. Case studies conducted at PT. XYZ in Cikarang. This study uses quantitative methods and analysed use statistical software of SPSS 16. Data collected in this study used questionnaire with five Likert scale. The population and sample used in this study was 58 operators. The result of the analysis indicates that all variables have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Leadership style variable (X1) on employee performance (Z) regression coefficient of 0.130, discipline (X2) on employee performance (Z) regression coefficient of 0.637, and motivation (Y) as intervening variable have a positive significant influence on employee performance (Z) with a regression coefficient of 0.272 . Therefore, all hypotheses in this study are all accepted.
