Abstract:
Indonesia as Australia's neighboring country has gone through a long-time strong bilateral relations with Australia. There has been various type of
cooperation that both countries done, including cooperation in development,
particularly through aid program. Australia believed in promoting their national
interests using one of their diplomacy tools which is aid program. Up until now,
Australia has backed Indonesia up through various kinds of aid. Through aid
program, called Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID),
Australia could contributes in sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction,
in which if the effort is successful then it is going to affect positively towards the
prosperity of Australia. Since the early 50s the development cooperation program
of Australia to Indonesia has been going through the AusAID. The aid program
was established to reduce poverty, promoting prosperity and enhancing stability
as a state to state program to its neighboring countries in Asia Pacific, which
includes Indonesia. This thesis, hence analyzes one of DFAT's programs in Indonesia, which is Australia's Education Partnership with Indonesia (AEPI), on
how this particular development program could assist Indonesia in improving the
(Junior Secondary School).
