dc.description.abstract South Korean culture is an extraordinary event that has spread very quickly. Indonesia is one of the countries that has spread South Korean culture in the entertainment industry in recent years. Korean Wave or also known as Hallyu entertains the public by bringing cultural content such as K-Drama, movies, K-Pop, K-Fashion, and so on. This section will focus on how the Korean Wave entered Indonesia and impacted the South Korean and Indonesian economies. The Korean Wave is significant to mass-produced popular culture. The South Korean government uses the Korean Wave as a diplomatic strategy to introduce its culture to the whole world, especially Indonesia. The emergence of the Korean Wave all over the world has succeeded in bringing improvements to the Korean economy and image internationally. en_US
