dc.description.abstract In planning a new water distribution network, such as a new residence, it is important to know the existing condition of the water distribution network. Then must be analyzed first whether it is possible to add a new water distribution network or not. The Epanet 2.2 software can precisely analyze the water distribution network. The analysis on Epanet 2.2 started by processing the data. These data are the water demand in each node, pipe diameter, pipe length, and water fluctuation as a multiplier factor. In planning water distribution at Bale Permai residence, the first alternative uses a branch system, and the second is a loop system. After the analysis, the hydraulic condition of the branch system fulfilled the pressure standard (10-80 m) and velocity standard (0.3-3 m/s) with a total cost of Rp. 210,541,100. Then, the hydraulic conditions of the looped system fulfilled the pressure standard, but the velocity has not fulfilled the standard design (0.3-3m/s) with a total cost of Rp. 252,129,435. Following the standard criteria of design and cost-efficiency. Thus, the water distribution on the Bale Permai Residence network chosen to be applied is a branch system. en_US
