dc.description.abstract Cikarang is a district in Kota Deltamas the Bekasi Regency and has an increase number of residents and automobiles each year. Therefore, appropriate service facilities must be given for the number of traffic users to increase, particularly on routes that can cause difficulties if not handled appropriately. Residential areas and marketplaces are found in the research area near Cikarang station, resulting in complex traffic and rapid urbanization. The up-and-down movement of public transportation users (angkot) around the intersection also affects complex traffic, limiting road capacity and slowing vehicles passing through it. This issue is most noticeable during peak hours; thus, it must be investigated and devised. Subsequently, performance analysis needs to be carried out at this intersection. This study then uses two methods, namely MKJI 1997 for signalized intersection analysis and MATSim for traffic simulation. MKJI 1997 method to analyze the performance of the intersection by analyzing the capacity, degree of saturation, delays, and queues. MATSim is a software for simulating the condition of an existing road and analyzing its capacity. The results of analyzing the existing intersection show that it has a high degree of saturation of 0.95, higher than the standard of 0.85. Moreover, a delay time and a queue length are found to be 72-103 seconds and 131-179 meters, respectively. The suggested approach to improving the intersection's performance is to widen the road. This approach results in a degree of saturation of 0.88, a delay time of 51-70 seconds, and a queue length of 85-114 meters. According to the MATSim simulation, there are six congested routes around the Cikarang station, indicating that the road capacity does not meet the current vehicle flow. The suggested solution for these routes is to enlarge the road and add more lanes. en_US
