Abstract:
Public health is the main thing that must be considered by the government so that all people get
justice in health services. Public health can be realized through organized government and
community efforts. With the progress of the times, the government is trying to improve public health
services and development aimed at remote and border areas. The goal of developing health
services is to increase the reach and equity of qualified health services for people in remote and
border areas. In this regard, there are NGOs working to improve health services in Indonesia such
as the Insan Sembada Foundation (YIS). The author will explain what has been discussed so far
in the health sector, namely the role of the Insan Sembada Foundation (YIS) for equal distribution
of health services in Indonesia. Health advocacy is carried out by YIS by bridging gaps in the
health care system to ensure that people can access affordable, effective and quality health care.
The research paper will use the concept of health advocacy. In writing this paper, the authors use
qualitative methods such as books, journals, and interviews which will be widely used in this study.
Through this type of research, the author will use secondary data to analyze the form of roles and
contributions that have been made by the Insan Sembada Foundation (YIS) in dealing with the
problem of equity in health services. The results of this research are Insan Sembada Foundation
(YIS) has been doing so far in health service support programs is included in health advocacy.
