Abstract

The pet shop industry grew steadily in 2018 and will experience significant growth in 2022. This is due to the emergence of the trend of keeping pets because pets have become a form of entertainment in themselves and are considered friends or family when working from home. Apart from that, pets are considered to be one way to overcome feelings of boredom, loneliness, and stress during the pandemic that hit Indonesia in 2020 by caring for pets. The main driver of the growth of the Pet Industry in Indonesia is influenced by the increasing number of pet owners in Indonesia and the increasingly high spending capacity for pet-related products and services in Indonesia. Apart from that, based on a survey conducted in 2021 shows that there is a trend in the humanization of pets, which is increasingly popular among Indonesian people, where as many as 72% of people with household status have pets. Apart from that, the trend of keeping exotic in Indonesia is growing rapidly due to the unique charm for animal lovers in Indonesia, where these exotic animals usually require special care and attention such as food, nutrition and other equipment. Based on the results, 88% of respondents make regular purchases of food products, snacks, and accessories specifically for pets. The Pet Shop is here to play an essential role in providing support to pet owners by providing various pet products, information and also pet care and welfare services. And Mo&M Gliders prioritizes the welfare of pets and pet owners with special products that have premium quality so as to make it easier for pet owners to improve the welfare of pets.
