Abstract:
In conclusion, the social project carried out as part of President University's International
Relations Student Program exhibited a noteworthy effort to solve the pressing issue of plastic usage
in Cibeber. Using a multi-faceted approach that included webinars, social media campaigns, and
community cleaning activities, the project was able to achieve immediate results such as increased
public awareness about the importance of a plastic-free lifestyle, the importance of avoiding
littering, and improved knowledge about alternative plastic solutions.
In addition, the use of the Theory of Change (ToC) as a methodological tool throughout the
project demonstrated a deliberate and systematic approach to achieving the intended changes and
outcomes. The project's findings put light on the community's ongoing dilemma of plastic usage,
underlining the importance of continuing efforts by all stakeholders to raise awareness and develop
long-term solutions.
Overall, this social initiative not only met the academic criteria of the International
Relations Student Program, but it also had a practical influence on the community by increasing
awareness of the environmental repercussions of plastic usage. The project exemplifies how
grassroots initiatives can play a critical role in reaching the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
