In Bekasi District students' reading and writing abilities are not, up to standard, which makes achieving Development Goal (SDG) 4 for quality education a challenge. StorySpace has launched a project at Hegarmukti 01 State Elementary School to tackle this problem. The primary goal of the StorySpace Project is to improve teacher education and assist teachers in developing lesson plans. As part of this effort the concept of building is incorporated into literacy activities. Additionally, StorySpace provided books to help teachers improve student literacy skills. The success of the project was evaluated based on metrics such as Instagram followers count, their engagement with literacy related content and teachers feedback on the training sessions. The results of the StorySpace initiative show that teachers are more conscious of creating resources that meet students' needs. |
