| dc.description.abstract | The Golden Triangle region is one of the regions in Asia that has a threat of drug trafficking problems that are large enough to require good collaboration from all parties, including ASEAN as one of the Asian International organizations. ASEAN formed a committee called ASEAN Official on Drug Matters, which aims to tackle drug problems in the Asian region. This study uses a qualitative research method to analyze ASEAN's role through ASOD in addressing drug problems in the Golden Triangle region from 2018 to 2022. The data used comes from secondary data sources such as national and international webinars on drug trafficking in the Golden Triangle region, official websites of relevant institutions and ministries, and data and reports from the internet related to the research topic to analyze the impact of ASOD on drug problems in the Golden Triangle from 2018 to 2022, the author uses neoliberal institutionalism theory as a parameter. The results of the research conducted show that ASOD, from 2018 to 2022, failed to deal with drug trafficking in the Golden Triangle region effectively enough.ASOD serves as a critical pillar in achieving the Vision of a drug-free ASEAN, and this ineffectiveness is undoubtedly due to several constraints affecting ASOD's operations. | en_US |
