dc.description.abstract Foreign policy is one of the products from leader decision making process. Achieving national interests is the primary goal of foreign policy initiatives. Individual factors also become one of the common factors within the initiation of foreign policy and has thereby been discussed a lot in the International Relations study. New Southern Policy is South Korea foreign policy launched by Moon Jae In in 2017 as an initiative to enhance the relations between South Korea and ASEAN. Through the foreign policy analysis theory on individual level of analysis therefore Moon Jae In individual factor could be assessed with the indicator variable: personality, political history, ego and ambitions and the perception and operational reality, this research will analyse the factors that driven the initiation of New Southern Policy. en_US
