Abstract:
Currently, experience and education are some of the provisions needed to find a job
in the future. Therefore, the implementation of the Internship Program is one way
that can facilitate the younger generation, especially students, to gain direct
experience in the world of work. However, in its implementation, the Internship
Program also has several risks that endanger its students. Currently, “Internship
Abroad” is one of the modes of offering that is currently rampant in Indonesia.
Instead of providing a valuable internship experience abroad, many students are
taken advantage of and experience labor exploitation in the internship. Migrallies
is a socialization project with the theme “Socialization for Preventing Exploitation
of Indonesian Students during Overseas Internships in the Context of Protection of
Indonesian Citizens Abroad through the Peduli WNI Portal and Safe Travel
Application.” This project is in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
especially the Directorate of Protection of Indonesian Citizens. This program was
held with the mission of helping students, especially President University students,
to be more aware of the risks that could occur while undergoing an internship
program abroad. Utilizing assistance from the government through the Peduli WNI
Portal and the Safe Travel application can make it easier for students abroad if they
need help.
