dc.description.abstract Development of technology in human lives is escalating significantly in the past few decades. Technology becomes installed and integrated in almost every single thing. Those ‘things’ are connected each other in a one grand system through the internet. The system is called ‘Internet of Things’ or simply IoT. The integration enables things which cannot be done before and one of them is in the accident and emergency detection platform for online motorcycle taxi drivers. The system supports such community to learn about its members’ state of condition, location, and emergency status. It can detect any accident automatically and incident which occurs frequently in their environment. The device acts by using Arduino board as the main microcontroller. Moreover, the device can transmit signal to the main cloud server through an android application installed in the users’ smartphones. This system is called Nolong.in. Nolong.in aims to support the safety of online motorcycle taxi drivers in executing their daily work in transporting consumers and goods. en_US
