dc.description.abstract In this 20th century, human does not just talk to another human. Human also can talk to a machine or a robot. The main objective of this project is to build a robot which can understand human and also capable to travel some distances as far as human commands it. To be able understand human, a robot needs a speech recognition technology. Besides understanding human, the designed robot also has awareness to its surroundings. It has the capability to detect and avoid the obstacles in front of it. An ultrasonic and two infrared sensors are needed to do so. In addition, the robot can stop, turn left, and turn right automatically to avoid the obstacles which hinder the robot. In further possible research, this robot can be a model for the next generation robots which can be used in daily domestic activity and industry development. en_US
