THE IMPACT OF FAMILY HOPE PROGRAMME IN ACHIEVING MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS IN INDONESIA 2007-2010

Abstract

Poverty is the problem that in worldwide. Poverty happens in several factors that support this problem. Poverty could prevent and treated when the root of problem could found quickly. Poverty could make people lose their better future. Poverty also could break the chain of life. Government did several actions to reduce the number of poverty in their own state. Government of Indonesia also takes action to reduce poverty. Adopting conditional cash transfer. Indonesia has established Program Keluarga Harapan or Family Hope Programme. Family Hope Program is cash transfer which given by government of Indonesia to poor people that obey the rules and regulations of Family Hope Programme. Family Hope Programme has been done to fulfill people's need, especially education and health needs. Women and children are the targets of this program. and for pregnant women and postpartum women. They give aid to fulfill the pregnant process and childbirth. And for children, they have education aid program. Family Hope Programme has been establish in achieving Millennium Development Goals. Achieving Millennium Development Goals could give impact to the people can be easier to gain and access to education and health facilities. Millennium Development Goals already make Indonesia has follow the right path to a better country and developed. On this research should be discuss about 5 targets of millennium development goals that achieved by family hope programme.
