THE INFLUENCE OF SUPPLIER ASSESSMENT CRITERIA TOWARDS SUPPLIER SELECTION ( A CASE STUDY OF TAPE KETAN INDUSTRY INN KUNINGAN, WEST JAVA )

Abstract

This research analyses the influence of price, availability, delivery and product quality towards supplier selection: a case study of tape ketan industry in Kuningan, West Java. A survey was conducted on 60 respondents who are the owners of tape ketan industry as the purchasing manager of the industry. This research is based on the annual sales growth of CV. Sumber Rezeki. Data analysis that used is multiple linear regressions with least squares equation and test hypothesis using t-statistics for testing the partial level of 5%. It also tested the classical assumptions that included normality test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedascity test. This shows the availability data has been qualified using multiple linear regressions equation model. The result indicates that availability and delivery have no partial significant influence towards supplier selection. The variables price and product quality have partial significant influence towards supplier selection. Predictive ability of four variables to the supplier selection in this study is 54.2% while the remaining 45.8% is affected by other factors which exclude in this research model.
