Abstract:
This study investigates how tourism affects the quality of life (QOL) of Trowulan residents whic is one of many tourism destination in Mojokerto, East Java. The proposed model in this study structurally depicts that satisfaction with life in general derives from the satisfaction with particular life domains. The model posists that residents’ perception of tourism impacts (economic, Environmental, Cultural) affects their satisfaction of particular life domains. Accordingly, the study propossed four major hypotheses: 1) Partial Significant Influence of Economic Towards East Java Tourism, 2)Partial Significant Influence of Environment Towards East Java Tourism, 3)Partial Significant Influence of Cultural Towards East Java Tourism, 4) Simultaneous Influences Significant Influence of Economic, Environment, Cultural Towards Tourism of East Java. The sample population consisting of 60% from president university student and 40% from other university in East Java was surveyed. One hundred and twenty respondents complete the survey. Structural Equation Modeling and Hierarchical Multiple Regression were used to the study hypotheses.The Results Indicates that economic mean score is not high, even economic mean score is not high but it has big influence to quality of life, then environment mean score is high, it show the big influence on Trowulan resident, and the last shows that Cultural has the highest means score of all variable that indicated Cultural variable is the most dominant variable of all.
