dc.description.abstract This research is made to find the dominant factors that contribute to increase the awareness of helmet usage by motorcycle riders in Jakarta. This research uses Jakarta as the area of research because Jakarta is reachable comparing with other oare. To find the dominant factors, this research uses factor analysis multivariate and choose Knowledge, Attitude and Practice to become the interdependent variables of this research. Using purposive sampling, the target of this research is 50 people with range age 18 – 25 years old because the victim of road accident in Indonesia is mostly 18 – 25 years old. Using analysis factor, this research develops 2 dominant factors which are Safety Needs and Feedback. These 2 factors may lead to recommend for increasing awareness of helmet usage by strengthen the helmet usage counselling by police officers and share a good information about helmet usage to every person related which may start from the closest relation such as family. en_US
