dc.description.abstract This research is conducted in order to discover whether or not the implementation of 5S and Muda Elimination (elimination of waste) affects the employees’ satisfaction in term of workplace and which aspect of them that gives the major influence it. Researcher uses seiri (brevity), seiton (tidiness), seiso (cleanliness), seiketsu (orderliness), shitsuke (simplicity) which are parts of 5S and muda elimination as the aspects of the research. This research shows that overall, the implementation of 5S and muda elimination satisfies the employees, but one of the aspect which is seiri has to be improved, so that the employees will feel more satisfied. In this research, shitsuke has strongest influence than other aspects. This research uses quantitative method. The data were obtained by doing observation and distributing questioner to 95 respondents, but only 77 respondents will be considered. Processing data was conducted through questioner using SPSS (Statistic Product and Service Solution) version 16 by conducting several tests such as : validity test, reliability test, data classic assumption test, F test, T test, coefficient determination test, and multiple regression analysis. According to multiple regressions analysis, it shows the formula for this research is: Y = 0.095X1 + 0.195X2 + 0.215X3 + 0.190X4 + 0.301X5 + 0.254 X6 where X1 = seiri, X2 = seiton, X3 = seiso, X4 = seiketsu, X5 = shitsuke, X6 = muda elimination. Through this formula shows that X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, and X6 have positive correlation toward employees’ satisfaction in term of workplace. The value of adjusted R2 on this test is 0.891 means that the independent variables can influence the dependent variable about 89.1% and the other factors influence the rest which is 10.9%. F-Test in this research shows that independent variables simultaneously give influence to dependent variable with significance level 0.000 and F value 104.925. For t test, it shows that every independent variable has influenced the employees’ satisfaction partially, except seiri which has t value lower than t table. Also, significance value of X2 = 0.001, X3, X4, X5, X6 = 0.000 which are lower than significance level of the research which is 0.05. It means those independent variables have significant influences toward employees’ satisfaction. en_US
