This research is conducted to discover the dominant factors of the employee’s dissatisfaction and satisfaction towards the implementation of Herzberg theory, study case in PT. XYZ. The researcher uses the two-factor theory, consist of hygiene and motivation factor. Each factor has their own aspects, where hygiene factor more leads to dissatisfaction such as : Company policy and administration, supervision, relationship with supervisor, working conditions, salary, relationship with peers, personal life, status, and security, while the motivation factor leads to satisfaction such as : achievement, recognition, work itself, responsibility, advancement, and growth.
The researcher applied quantitative research with 105 respondents. The research started from October 3rd until December 15th 2011 by spreading questionnaires. The research is conducted in Jakarta, take places in PT. XYZ, Kuningan. This research use SPSS as a helping tool to analyze the data. The researcher found 10 new factors as the result. Those factors are: Feeling of job security through good supervision, A decent salary provided by the company, Company clearly defined the employee status, Relationship with peers, Comfortable Working place, Effectively maintained working place, Challenging and stimulating work, Opportunity of advancement, Gaining Recognition, and Employee responsibility towards their job. The researcher hope this research would give benefits to every party that have part in this thesis. |
