Along with the development of the company, the management or the owner is seeking to remodel and modify their business process especially operational management of the company. As the requirement of the research, the researcher assist in composing the improvement business process in operational management of PT. Wijaya Asphlat, the researcher is aiming to reach out the suitable business process for the company’s improvement
In this opportunities, the researcher has three objectives to be realized. The objectives of the research are to organize the segregration of duties for each empployee, to standardazided and documented the company’s operational procedure, and to proposed suitable business process for working operational improvement. The researcher used four steps to attain the objectives, by doing documentation, modelling, analysing, and remodelling by using Microsoft Office Visio to create cross functional diagram / swimlane diagram – Business process modelling notation. The separation of the employment tasks or duties is used to effectively compose the new business process in the company.
Data and information are gained by using qualitative research. Interview, observation and documentation are held from November 4th, 2011 – January 10th, 2012 with the consent of the company. Since, there are many factors that could affect the existing business process, the researcher used the PEST and SWOT analysis in determining the opportunities and threats from the external views for the company improvement in the future.
As the result, PT. Wijaya Asphalt could improve the operational business process by remodelling the current business process equipped with the segregration of duties theory in order to manage the operational business process in the company. Documentation and standardization of the operational working process will help the company in controlling and training the existing and new employees in the company. |
