In the end of 1990s decade banking industries in Indonesia faced with critical situation some banks liquidated, caused by the crisis that happened in Indonesia and effects to financial institutions and banking industries, this situation effect to public trust that caused the destroyed of business and the Economy becomes uncertanty at the time.
Performance of Banks in Indonesia are periodically evaluated by Bank Indonesia. One way to supervise the performance of a bank by Bank Indonesia is through issuing Circullar Letter of Bank Indonesia Number 6/23/DPNP dated 31 May 2004 as a Standard of Performance. The standard is named CAMEL (Capital, Asset, Management, Earning, and Liquidation).
The study was done in the following purposes: to find the level of performance of PT Bank DBS Indonesia through CAMEL method in time period of 2007-2010. The objective of this study was to analyze the performance of PT Bank DBS Indonesia using CAMEL method in time period of 2007-2010.
This research used quantitative descriptive analysis. This study used secondary data, which are financial statement and Good Corporate Governance report, to see the comparison among the year of bank performance.
The result of the study showed that PT Bank DBS Indonesia classified as Excellent in 2007 with cummulative value 1.4, and Good Predicate from 2008 to 2010 based on CAMEL Classified, which are 1.83 in 2008, 1.86 in 2009 and 1.83 in 2010. |
