PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF PT BANK MUTIARA TBK USING CAMEL METHOD IN PERIOD OF 2008-2010

Abstract

Performance of Banks in Indonesia are periodically evaluated by Bank Indonesia. One way to supervise the performance of a bank by Bank Indonesia is through issuing Circullar Letter of Bank Indonesia Number 6/23/DPNP dated 31 May 2004 as a Standard of Performance. The standard is named CAMEL (Capital, Asset, Management, Earning, and Liquidation). The study was done in the following purposes: to find the level of performance of PT Bank Mutiara Tbk through CAMEL method in period of 2008-2010. The objective of this study was to analyze the performance of PT Bank Mutiara Tbk using CAMEL method in period of 2008-2010. This research used quantitative descriptive analysis. This study used secondary data, which are financial statement and Good Corporate Governance report, to see the comparison among the year of bank performance. The result of the study showed that PT Bank Mutiara classified as very poor in 2008, good in 2009, and good in 2010.
