Abstract:
Clean water is a necessity in all aspect of life. One sector that
really needs clean water is the industrial sector. Industrial sector
is the one of sectors that play a role in the development area.
Jababeka Industrial Estate (JIE) 1 is located in North Cikarang,
Bekasi District, West Java. They have to 942 customers.
Objectives: The aims of this final project are to improve the
water distribution network design of JIE 1 in EPANET 2.00.12;
to analyze the water distribution network based on Public Works
Department 2007 and JIE Regulation; and to give the analysis
result that can be used as recommendation for JIE 1. Method
and Results: The method that been used are data collection,
data processing, and data analysis. Primary data is obtained from
survey, meanwhile secondary data is obtained from Jababeka.
Data Processing is using Ms. Excel to calculate (1) the average
of water consumption, (2) the flow and pressure of pump, (3) the
water fluctuation, and (4) the water multiplier factor. Data
analyzed by using EPANET 2.00.12 software, inputting the
water demand, network map, pipe characteristics, and water
fluctuation for 24 hours. Conclusions: The water distribution
network in JIE 1 has been updated. It was proven by water
distribution network that in accordance with the number of
customers in 2019; The pressure in the existing of JIE 1 water
distribution network have been complied with the two
regulations. Where the pressure is range 10 m – 80 m. Some of
the velocity is below the standard; Changing pressure in
distribution pump from 37.7 m to 32.5 m will give the potential
economic saving Rp. 182,742,637/year. Recommendations: Do
the research about the others hydraulic parameter (excluding:
pressure and velocity) in JIE 1 water distribution network based
on Public Works Regulation; It is needed to research about the
influence of changing pressure to the water velocity in JIE 1
water distribution network; It is required to research about pipe
leakage in JIE 1.
