Abstract:
The aim purpose of this research are to find out the suitable filtration layer ratio create rainwater filtration system by using coconut fiber, coconut shell charcoal, coral, sand and gravel also to find out knowledge, attitude and motivation affect the level of community perception again utilizing rainwater as a source of alternative clean water. The research conducted is an experimental study carried out in a laboratory scale to find out the suitable filtration layer ratio to create suitable rainwater filtration systems of Rainwater West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency. For the filtration itself divided into 3 different reactor; (1) Reactor-1 included 5cm coral :3 cm coconut fiber: 7 cm coconut shell charcoal : 5 cm gravel : 15 cm sand : 3 cm gravel. (2) Reactor-2 included 5 cm coral : 3 cm coconut fiber : 10 cm coconut shell charcoal : 5 cm gravel : 15 cm sand : 3 cm gravel. (3) Reactor-3 included 5 cm coral : 3 cm coconut fiber : 13 cm coconut shell charcoal : 5 cm gravel : 15 cm sand : 3 cm gravel. The results showed that the turbidity variables is significant quality changes. The Single factor ANOVA also shown there is significance difference between Reactor-1,Reactor-2 and Reactor-3. Thus the results of the treatment of the Reactor-3 is the suitable layer ratio for environmental aspect. The social aspect by quantitative analysis uses on this study about 40 questioners collect from 80 respondent by PSSP software version 3.0 2007 with field survey approach while T-test as > t table (2,317> 1.99254) then there is an influence of the Knowledge variable (X1) on Perception (Y)
