MALALA CONTRIBUTION TO INCREASING GIRL'S EDUCATION IN PAKISTAN 2009-2017

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of Malala in improving the education of girls in Pakistan. In improving girls' education in Pakistan, Malala received support from several figures: such as the Pakistani government, President Barack Obama, Apple Inc., Safe Foundation, Branco Itau, City Campaign Program, Echidna Giving, Islamic Relief Canada, Starbucks Foundation, Vodafone Foundation, Free a Girl, SPANX by Sara Blakely Foundation, Celebrity Cruises, Landry Family Foundation. Data collection methods are used to obtain qualitative data by collecting data through articles, books and newspapers that contain girls’ education in Pakistan, Cases of Malala, Malala fund programs to improve the education of girls in Pakistan, the Government joins CEDAW (United Nations on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women), Pakistan's Government Program with Malala in increasing girls’ education in Pakistan. Based on the results of this study, obtained results that the education of girls in Pakistan has progressed very rapidly from 2009-2017. Malala is assisted by several figures to realize their programs and establish schools in some of these areas such as in Swat district, Shangla district, Barkana, and Malala Fund also provides free schools to underprivileged students in Pakistan.
