dc.description.abstract |
This thesis assess the dialogues pattern between South Korea and North Korea from June 2013 until April 2018, as an instrument of improving the relations between the countries. South Korea and North Korea has been in an intense relation since after the civil war ended. Seeing many diplomacy attemp has been conducted by both countries for centuries, this thesis will seek what are the significant factor that influence the dynamic of their communications. Diplomacy is one of the important instruments in achieving national interest where the art of international communication has a huge part in it. Understanding intercultural communication, the history, and political habbit of the other parties is important to conduct a successfull communication. Therefore, this thesis's significant to international actors and international studies to understand the importance of international communication, and finding the dynamic of peace talk attempts from the Inter-Korean case study. Diplomacy is the best way for both country to find their path to peace. In order for that to success, a good negotiation and communication effort needed to be done. Seeing from the 2013-2018 pattern, the most significant factor that influence their dynamic is the lack of trust and understandment towards each other. Peace could be achieved if both parties is giving a mutual effort. |
