dc.description.abstract The case of cybercrime as a part of a transnational crime and non-traditional security threat has become one of the important issues in International scope including in Southeast Asia region. This research discusses what efforts the ASEAN as the regional intergovernmental organization has done in addressing the problem of cybercrime and developing their cybersecurity by establishing the cooperation of strategic partnership with dialogue partner. The timeframe taken for this thesis research is from 2014 until 2017. This research is analytical and descriptive using qualitative research methods through multilateral relations between ASEAN member states and Japan. The result of this research indicates that Japan contribution in helping ASEAN countries to strengthen their cybersecurity in the number of cooperation as the same interest between both parties in strengthening the cybersecurity as well as creating the peace and stability in Southeast Asia region. en_US
