dc.description.abstract The case of the Unites States of America pirated copyright products that occurs in Indonesia has become one of the important issues to the U.S. especially copyright products has contributed greatly to their economy. This research discusses what efforts the U.S. has done in addressing the problem of piracy that occurs in Indonesia and also any measure taken has been done by the U.S. to reduce piracy of their copyrighted products in Indonesia. The timeframe taken for this thesis research is from 2014 until 2016, which is to be precised is the era of President Jokowi. Thus, this research is analytical and descriptive using qualitative research methods through bilateral relations between the United States and Indonesia. The result of this research indicates that the U.S. exercised some unilateral actions which are by issuing Special 301 Report which becomes pressure for Indonesia to immediately reduce piracy of copyrighted products, especially Hollywood films and by conducting workshops and discussions on intellectual property rights with representatives of Indonesia to raise awareness of the importance of intellectual property rights to protect the product of the creative economy. en_US
