dc.description.abstract The Syrian Civil War was a conflict arising from the desire of the Syrian community to be free from the leadership of Bashar al-Assad who was a cruel leadership and considered to be indifferent to the life of the people. For example, it does not provide the rights that should be owned by Syrians and also violence against resistance people. This concern the United States (US), which considers this to be an act that violates to human rights. And support the Syrian community in achieving freedom. But support that initially did not involve US directly should turn out to be the opposite due to the emergence of various issues that are deemed US important to engage in this conflict. The purpose of this research is to determine the interests of the US against Syria which is the reason for the change in US attitudes toward the conflict that did not want to be involved. This research is based on the phenomenon that arises from the involvement of powerful states like the US in the Middle East which certainly has various US interests in the Syrian conflict. en_US
