dc.description.abstract The cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the fields of trade, energy, finance, investment and tourism is growing after “the Belt and Road” initiative proposed. Energy security is a focal issue in today's world. In a stage of rapid economic development, China's needs for energy are increasingly growing and energy security has become one of the most important issues for China’s national security. At present, China takes various forms of international cooperation to solve energy security problems, among which the energy cooperation with Central Asian countries especially cooperate to Kazakhstan played a very important role. This thesis will descry the condition of China-Kazakhstan energy cooperation under the Belt and Road initiative which is content 2015-2018. Use National interest and Neo-realism theory try to explain that the cooperation will balance the power between China and other big power like Russia and the United States. en_US
