BILATERAL TRADE BETWEEN INDONESIA AND VIETNAM IN INDUSTRIAL, AGRICULTURAL, AND FISHERIES-MARINE SECTORS (2014-2017)

Abstract

The ups and downs in relations between countries, moreover, can be considered normal in government and foreign cooperation. Also, foreign policy by the government in cooperation between countries also affects the relations between the two countries. Relations between the two countries also have ups and downs, especially in trade between the two countries as exports and imports of Indonesia to Vietnam. The author will analyze how exports and imports between the two countries occurred in the period of 2014 to 2017 by using qualitative method. As the implementation of the strategic cooperation agreement between Indonesia and Vietnam 2014-2018, the total value of trade between Indonesia and Vietnam is targeted to increase each year, especially in industrial-manufacturing, agricultural and marine-fisheries sectors. The author will analyze how the dynamics of trade relations between Indonesia and Vietnam as exports and imports in the industrialmanufacturing, agricultural and marine-fisheries sectors and its products or commodities from the Indonesian perspective using globalization and regionalism theory.
