UNITED KINGDOM'S ROLES IN PREVENTING IRAN'S NUCLEASRIZATION PROGRAM THROUGH THE JOINT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF ACTION AFTER UNITED STATES WITHDRAWAL (2015-2018)

Abstract

The withdrawal of United States from Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on May 2018 bring many impact to international community, this condition also aggravated by United States decision to re-imposed sanction on Iranian regime bring a bad impact to Iran economic condition and to the condition of the JCPOA. United Kingdom as one of JCPOA member has stated its stance keep implementing and maintaining the deal along with another member of JCPOA (Germany, France, Russia, China) and ensuring Iran will get the benefit from the deal so the main purpose of the deal can achieve even without United States on it, JCPOA is in line with United Kingdom National interest on nuclear nonproliferations and security in order to maintain the stability in the region and world security. On this thesis author also explained about the definition and history of JCPOA, the interest and reason of United Kingdom join JCPOA and the interest and stance of JCPOA members after United States withdrawal from JCPOA, author also explain about the condition of JCPOA after United States withdraw. In analysis the author explained about the responses from United Kingdom responses toward United States withdrawal from the JCPOA using the Offensive realism theory, also solution that came from E3 countries (United Kingdom, France, Germany) to protect European companies from United States sanctions by creating SPV as the tread mechanism between European and Iran companies.
