dc.description.abstract South Sudan is the newest country that just had the recognition from the United Nations as a freedom country in 2011. It was once attached as one country with Sudan, however it southern part of Sudan (that is now South Sudan) feel discriminated by the political system of the government of Sudan that adopting the system form the Arab, that had been colonialized the country for decades therefore in 2011. The Southern Sudanese voted for independency, since most of them are african-christian and they did not believe in governing the country based on religion’s rules. However, after the independency, South Sudan need to face ethnic conflict that involving the biggest ethnic groups in the country which are the Dinka Group and Nuer Group. The Dinka was covered with its armed group called the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), and the Nuer Group had other armed group called the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement – In Opposition (SPLM-IO). These two armed groups were attacking each other and the SPLM was targeting the civilians based on their ethnicity. The attacks are constantly happening from 2013, the government of South Sudan decided to negotiate with the opposition group and both of them agreed to sign the peace agreement called Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan in 2015. Nonetheless, the agreement only lasted not only a year, since both of the groups had been violating the agreement. The conflict has caused many people lose their life, their family and houses. Therefore in 2018, there are solutions in stopping the conflict which are; the United Nations Security Council agreed to have an embargo on South Sudan in 2018, there is a Revitalized - Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan in 2018 focus on power sharing strategy, forming the Transitional Government on National Unity, Permanent Casefire and power sharing in which handled by the warring parties from the Government of South Sudan and the Opposition Group en_US
