dc.description.abstract |
Sustainable Development Goals are the efforts which made by the United Nations to tackle the global issues. United Nations needs the help of young people to disseminate the Sustainable Development Goals. AIESEC is an organization led by young people who has the opportunity to help the United Nations in raisng community awareness regarding Sustainable Development Goals. AIESEC utilizes its student exchange program as a platform to support the Sustainable Development Goals. These programs are Global Volunteers, Global Talent and Global Entrepreneurs. Global Volunteer is a voluntary program that is often used by AIESEC to disseminate Sustainable Development Goals. AIESEC has spread in 126 countries, one of them is Indonesia. AIESEC Indonesia also operates social projects based on the Sustainable Development Goals every year. Since Indonesia became the second largest marine pollutant in the world in 2015, AIESEC Indonesia has supported Sustainable Development Goal number 14 (Life Below Water) by creating social projects such as Econesia, Morning Sunshine, Greeneration 5.0, Wonderful Kei Islands, Morning Sunshine 2.0, One PM; Ecallogy 2.0 and Morning Sunshine 3.0. Those social projects involving international students and local people and students of targeted areas. Those social projects use methods that can help United Nations in disseminating Sustainable Development Goals. In this research, the author used the concept of Non-Governmental Organization, the theory of transnationalism and transnationalism advocacy network. This research found that the method which has been used by the projects was working in disseminating the Sustainable Development Goals |
