This study uses qualitative research that focuses on the life of dramaturgy Yohana Ari Wargalit in her workplace and daily life.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the dramaturgical roles of working woman and to find out the self-presentation by
impression management of working woman that is represented through her behavior in workplace and daily life. By using
interviews and in-depth observations, data was collected from three informants who were the closest people to Yohana Ari
Warigalit. In addition, researchers also use documents such as images, videos, sound recordings and other sources to support
and strengthen the main data. The researcher used the dramaturgical analysis approach in presenting findings. The theory
used is Dramaturgy Theory from Erving Goffman which uses dramaturgical analysis. Dramaturgical analysis is the main method
of Dramaturgy Theory which studies the process of behavior and not the results of behavior, used to analyze a play when a
person or group of people plays a role not based on his personality but based on existing conditions and utilizing the role he
has. Through front stage analysis, middle stage and back stage and impression management in communication to identify the
dramaturgy side of people. The results showed that the dramaturgical life of Yohana Ari Warigalit represented by the closest
people was a courageous, firm, and generous CEO. As a mother of two children, her figure is family and religious orientation.
This figure can be found through the front stage, middle stage, back stage and impression management. Yohana Ari Warigalit is
an actor who takes action through various roles in different scenes but still with the sasame goal of being someone who is useful
to others and family and the reasons for people the people around him are happy. |
