dc.description.abstract As the scriptwriter, there are many ways to tells a story. But as to make the short film in a clear statement, it should only be written using one theory. The theory that used in this research was relational conflict. During the creative process, the theory abroads and then comes another technique that the scriptwriter had to had a phenomenon and essence to give soul to the story, which are merantau and anxiety. The phenomenon and the essence built the plot of the whole storyline. In making it good in a cinematic way, the creative process was going hand in hand between the 3 core crew of the projects. affect the storyline. At the end, the story could be built with only using one theory but had to contain a soul the story plot that was built by the phenomenon and the essence. en_US
