THE EFFECTIVITY OF LINGKAR GANJA NUSANTARA INSTAGRAM CONTENT IN CHANGING THEIR FOLLOWERS ATTITUDE ABOUT MARIJUANA IN INDONESIA

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the effectivity of lingkar ganja nusantara instagram content in changing their followers attitude about marijuana in Indonesia, because nowadays marijuana plants have always been associated with crime, even for some people, marijuana is considered as the cause of people committing a criminal act. Some media also reported as if marijuana users were criminals who committed crimes similar to theft, even murder. This has led to the emergence of lingkar ganja nusantara organization to create an Instagram account and to use it as a medium that provides information regarding marijuana, most of the contents of LGN account are more inclined to educate their Instagram followers such as the benefits of cannabis and other relevant information about marijuana in Indonesia and about marijuana in other countries, therefore by using quantitative methods, researchers conducted a research by comparing the attitudes of @lgn_id followers between before following the account and after following the account by testing the hypothesis using paired sample t-test. With the result, that there is a differences in the mean value of -9.47581 with the significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This research has enough evidence to reject Ho and accept Ha with conclusions, There are differences of @LGN_id Instagram account followers attitudes about marijuana in Indonesia between before following Lingkar Ganja Nusantara Instagram account and after following lingkar ganja nusantara instagram account. And @lgn_id Instagram account content is effective in changing their followers' attitudes about marijuana in Indonesia.
