Abstract:
In recent years, the improvement of technology has become more advanced and has a mission to make activity and getting information easier. Even when someone wants to watch a movie at the cinema, or even on their devices, they still need complete information about the movie. So that they can spend time well by enjoying their time with the movies.
This mobile application will give convenience for movie lovers to get information about a movie with simple usage and its value. The information will exist based on the selected movie on the list, and the list can be filtered by the scan result of the camera to a movie’s poster/cover using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) as one of computer vision techniques. This information is designed to show genre, the casts, synopsis, and showtime of the movie at the user’s city cinema by scraping a website. This program, movies scanner mobile application will be developed in mobile platform and will add /develop existing feature(s) of another similar application to improve the quality of user experience especially movie lovers.
