dc.description.abstract |
The Belt and Road Initiative policy developed by China is currently the main focus of economic development in Indonesia. Maritime Silk Road plays a significant role in maritime routes that make trade routes easy. Indonesia is one of the countries collaborating on the Belt and Road Initiative project. Both parties from China and Indonesia conducted economic diplomacy by approving the agreement in the Belt and Road Initiative Cooperation. The Belt and Road Initiative project is a Bussines to Bussines scheme in the Belt and Road Initiative Cooperation. China has even assisted in the formation of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) as a forum to provide infrastructure funding assistance in countries collaborating on the Belt and Road Initiative project. This thesis aims to explain and analyze the cooperation between China and Indonesia in the Belt and Road Initiative project. This thesis uses qualitative research method to anayse the contribution made in the Belt and Road Initiative cooperation in the field of infrastructure development in Indonesia, with investments provided by China and uses the liberalism perspective, soft power and economic diplomacy concept as main framework to make the analysis. As results, Evidence that can be seen from the contribution of the Belt and Road Initiative to infrastructure development is that the Belt and Road Initiative Cooperation has funded the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail construction. |
