dc.description.abstract |
The objective of this research paper is to examine sports diplomacy as a means of reducing tensions between North and South Korea. The world is aware that North Korea and South Korea are still at odds, even after the Korean War, and that the situation is worsening as a result of North Korea's nuclear missile test program. The whole world feels that this conduct is harmful and might jeopardize global peace. Sport diplomacy is the sorts of public diplomacy that may be utilized to improve bilateral relations and international relations. The Indonesia Asian Games 2018, for example, are a recent example of North and South Korea participating in one event and representing one Korea name. Indonesia Asian Games 2018 is believed to maintaining the relations that not really good between North and South Korea. This paper will analyze whether sports diplomacy can maintain their bilateral relations. Through the diplomacy and South Korea's foreign policy, the country can persuade North Korea to keep bilateral relations going in current worldwide system globally. |
