Abstract:
Toy Manufacturing Indonesia is a multinational toy company from the United States. One of the products is FashionD and HotW. Capacity planning is one part of production planning and control, one of the efficiency measures is to increase the utilization of company resources. Demand for toy cars during special events such as Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, and New Year Eve occurs periodically every year and increases positive trends. At the peak season of Christmas demand, there was a lost sale of 844 thousand cars at special events. Lost sales occur because the demand has exceeded the available capacity regular time and overtime. In contrast, in periods where there is no surge in demand (non-special events), there is still capacity that can be used. It can be seen from the regular time capacity utilization in the non-special event period, which is 82% below the average per year. This research shows that improvement for Forecast accuracy, Aggregate planning transportation methods can increase regular time capacity utilization in non-special events to 90%, and all demand can be fulfilled (no lost sales) and proposed system design program using Excel VBA Macro that can carry out capacity production with high efficiently and effectively.
