Abstract:
PT. XYZ is one of private company that produce USB port cover for automotive company from plastic. Company will produce product based on the customer demand. From customer demand data, customer want ±11 sec/pieces while the cycle-time is ±13 sec/pieces, it indicate the product delay’s delivery will exist and company should pay the penalty cost around 5% from the total demand. By look at current condition in each work-station, during production process there is bottleneck between washing and oven process with arrangement and wiping, the gap time around 5.549 sec/pieces. By do the improvement in the production floor, based on the production flow process and line balancing, the oven machine should be change become small Conveyor in order to increase production output for preventing product delays delivery. By implementing the proposed system, the production output increase from 554 pcs/hour to 817 pcs/hour or around 47.47%, decreasing 1 manpower from 5 manpower, and the line balancing ratio become 94.33% from 47.03%. So in order to prevent product delay’s delivery company should increase the capability production output by change machine oven to small Conveyor that has small cavity and shorter machine running.
