dc.description.abstract The construction of the Shwe gas pipeline, which began in 2000, has been reported by numerous reports of human rights violations committed by Myanmar. Human rights abuses in the Shwe Gas project include torture, rape, forced labor, forced resettlement until murder. With this case Earth Rights International as an international non-governmental organization focused on human rights abuses in the world does not remain silent and helps facilitate Myanmar citizens to fight for their rights by implementing several programs. This study concludes that the role of the international non-governmental organizations in helping to highlight cases of human rights abuses in isolated countries is very important. The basis of the interference of international non-governmental organizations in the problems occurring in other countries is the pluralism theory which tells us that the main actors in the international world are not just the state. This research is conducted from September of 2016 to May of 2017. This research utilizes the qualitative method, to elaborate the data and theory into the thesis. Sources used in this research includes books, journals, websites, and news articles. en_US
